MY STORY
I’m Christall Beaudry, a life coach, career woman, mother, grandmother, wife and life long learner. I completed the Life Coaching Certificate Program through Rhodes Wellness College. A few years ago, I was at the top of my game with my career working 60-70 hours per week and was on the road a lot, managing my household and a busy growing family. I was stressed at work and at home. I would come home from a busy day at work to an even busier night at home and it was starting to surface in unattractive ways with my family.
One day I was going to a lunch meeting with a colleague and I was trying to talk and my words were scrambled and I could not articulate what I needed to say. I knew something was wrong and I was terrified. I went to the doctor that afternoon and was referred to a neurologist. After another spell of scrambled words, I found out that I had a lesion on my brain. After many months or worry and several tests it was deemed to not be a threat.
During this time, what I learned was that the stress I was under was the cause of the scrambled thinking. This was my bottom. From this point forward I was on a mission to a better life and it started with caring for myself. I hired a wellness coach and set goals for myself to workout 3 days per week, meditate, journal, read more, turn off my cell phone and eat healthier. Making space for self-care in my life has benefited me, my family, and my career. I am not that “testy” mom that walked through the door two years ago, I’m not the boss who was exhausted to deal with just one more issue, I’m not the coach potato who struggled to move. I am poised and ready to take on new challenges and so can you!
